I Mechanix nascono nell’ottobre
2005 con l'idea ambiziosa di proporre un tributo
ai Megadeth
il più possibile fedele all'originale, senza scorciatoie
o compromessi. NAAH!! Ricominciamo...
I Mechanix nascono verso la fine degli
anni 80 nelle camerette di due baldi tredicenni
chitarristi in erba capelloni, uno di Mestre
l'altro di Vicenza ed ignari l'uno dell'altro che, stregati
dalla magia della musica dei Megadeth iniziano a percorrere
una strada che li avrebbe portati piu' di 15 anni dopo
ad incontrarsi.
Eh sì...
Era una calda ed afosa serata dell'estate 2004 quando
il buon Marco
si recò ad un moto raduno dove suonavano i Nitroxyde,
il cui chitarrista di nome Raffa
gli parve in visione come l'Arcangelo Gabriele.
“A te piace Mustaine” lo incalzò
a fine concerto con fare sospetto “si vede, e gli
assomigli anche... sai anche cantare per caso?... sai,
perchè il mio chitarrista preferito è Marty
Fiedman...”
Alla fine gli diede il numero di telefono nel caso gli
fosse venuta la curiosità di provare.
In realtà poi non se ne fece niente per molti mesi,
tanto che quando Raffa chiamò Marco ci volle un
po' per ricostruire l'episodio.
Comunque alla fine i nostri eroi si trovarono a casa di
Marco con due chitarre e 8 birre e suonarono
(cito testualmente) “le prime due di countdown e
le prime due di rust in peace”.
Quella sera capirono subito che si poteva fare finalmente
un tributo serio ai loro eroi, i Megadeth!
Raffa
si è portato in dote dai Nitroxyde
il buon Thomas,
bassista di rara solidità e precisione, mentre
il buon Paffuto (Fabio)
ricopre il ruolo di batterista dopo i trascorsi dal sapore
megadethiano nei Driftingmines...
sempre con Marco.
Ed eccoci qua dunque: questa band parte da lontano, musicisti
e fans D.O.C. dei Megadeth
riuniti per una curiosa congiunzione astrale a fare ufficialmente
quello che in realta' facevano gia' da sempre... suonare
sopra i dischi di DAVE & CO.!!
Signore e signori, qui c'è l'essenza di ciò
che tutte le tribute bands dovrebbero essere: FANS
AL SERVIZIO DEI FANS!
Fiore all'occhiello è l'assoluta
attenzione e precisione nella divisione delle
parti di chitarra, vera particolarità del gruppo,
supportata dal lavoro potente e preciso
della sezione ritmica.
La band propone un repertorio
che copre quasi tutta la carriera del combo americano,
con particolare enfasi ai capolavori indiscussi del Thrash
come Rust in Peace, So Far..., Peace Sells, Countdown
to Extinction. |

Biography
Mechanix band was born in October 2005,
with the hard and truly ambitius intention to give an
accurate TRIBUTE to the mighty Megadeth
without any compromise...
Ok let’s start again from the beginning(lol)
The Mechanix project was born at the
and of the ’80,in the silent quite rooms of two
dork guitar players both with long hair and faith
for metal; one of them from Mestre(Venice), the other
from Vicenza, not so far from the other one, both unaware
of the esistence of each other, but both in a spell for
the music of a band called Megadeth. So they start to
walk a road that 15 years later took them to meet each
other and play together.
It was a hot and wet summer night in 2004 when one of
our heroes Marco
went to a motorcycle-rally where a band called Nitroxyde
was playing, and the lead guitar of this band called Raffaele,
appeared to Marco
as a celestial vision.
"You love Mustaine,right? –Marco said
shily to Raffaele at the end of his gig - cos I can
really notice that and you also look like him so much…you
know maybe u can also sing right?…it’s just
cos my fav guitar player is called Marty Friedman..."
At the end of this short but funny speech they both took
the phone numbers just in case they could have tried one
day, but nothing happened for months since when Raffa
called Marco
he barely remembered about him (yeah he’s not tard
just a lack of memory).
Eventually our heroes met at Marco's place and played
together “the first 2 songs from Countdown To Extinction
and the fist 2 from Rust In Peace and that evening they
felt it could have worked great and give Megadeth
such a good tribute.
Raffa
took the really kickass bassplayer from the other band
Nitroxyde,
called Thomas,very
solid and peculiar, then Paffuto (Fabio)
joined the band, a solid drummer that have had previous
Megadeth’s style bands (Driftingmines)
playing with Marco in the past.
AND SO HERE WE ARE GUYS!
This band comes from so far, great musicians and Megadeth
fans that for a destiny trick founded them together to
play the music that influenced their life the most, and
to do what they loved more... PLAY MEGADETH MUSIC SOOOOO
DAMN LOUDDDDDDDD!!!
Ladies and gentlemen this is the deal: THIS
IS A BAND OF FANS THAT PLAY FOR FANS!
Nothing more!!! Nothing more than simply what tribute
bands should always be. What makes the difference between
this band and other tribute bands is the absolute precision
which all the guitar parts are assigned and how the rhythmic
section works in a perfect synergy with the rest of the
band.

is always various and goes from the beginning till the
true masterpieces (including the entire Rust in Peace
album , performed live from start to finish...) |
